Leadership, Integrity, and Dedication

Rooted in Service Built for Germantown's Future

Germantown isn’t just where Alderman Tony Salvaggio lives — it’s home. It’s where he grew up, where he and his wife Tami raised their four children, and where his commitment to service began long before he ever considered running for office.

As a student at Germantown High School, Tony helped develop the Germantown Youth Commission — an early reflection of his belief that leadership starts with involvement. That belief has guided his life ever since.

At 20 years old, Tony took over his family’s business, Memphis Door & Hardware. He and Tami continue to lead the company with the same founding commitment to quality, integrity, and community values. As a licensed Residential and Commercial General Contractor and owner of The Salvaggio Group, Tony has spent decades building — not just structures — but trust, jobs, and opportunity across our region.

A 2010 graduate of Leadership Germantown, Tony’s dedication extends far beyond business. He has served on the Board of Zoning Appeals as well as Planning, Stormwater, Transportation, Natural Resources, Technology, Economic Development, and the Fire Department Review Board. He understands how decisions are made — and more importantly, how they impact families and business.

His leadership has been recognized regionally, including being named in the Memphis Business Journal “Top 40 Under 40.”

“ A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent. ”

By Douglas MacArthur — (General of the United States Army)

Tony and his family are deeply woven into the fabric of Germantown and Shelby County. He has served five years as Board Chairman of the Juvenile Court Foster Care Review Board, supports the Sisters of Charity and DeNeuville Learning Center, coached GYAA baseball, and champions CBHS Wrestling and Houston High Cheer. He is a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Church and a charter member of the Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus.

Tony believes true leadership is grounded in courage, conviction, and compassion — the strength to make tough decisions and the humility to listen.

As our Mayor, Tony Salvaggio will use his leadership and planning expertise to continue making Germantown the best, safest, and most beautiful place to live.

Germantown is strong — but we must be intentional about where we go next.
